The ruins of Eppenstein Castle, first mentioned in a document in 1160, rise on a steep rock. The castle ruins and the village owe their name to the noble family of the Eppensteins. Walking from tree to tree at a height of up to 25 m above the forest floor, the forest habitat becomes a completely new and unique experience. The construction made of solid larch wood, which is visible from afar, allows for a magnificent view and rewards with a heavenly panorama.
Of course, the Abbey of Seckau is the No. 1 when it comes to a Seckau excursion, the associated shop - whose selection is very special - is definitely the second part of the triple and of course a stop at Lebkuchen Regner makes it complete - my favourite is the Zirbenstangerl.
